The Estrold Resort lies on the Vilas and Oneida County line, two "lake-rich" counties (over 1,300 lakes and miles of trout streams) located in the Northern Highland and American Legion State Forests (approx. 500,000 acres).
We are situated right on Little St. Germain Lake, which has 956 acres of good fishing with 32 miles of shoreline, 3 bays, and numerous coves. Because of its shape, the water is never very rough.
How to get here? . . . take US 45 to Eagle River, then 12 miles west on Highway 70, turn right on Halberstadt Road. 1/2 mile to Kuehne Road, turn right, 1/2 mile to Gessert Road, turn right and go 75 ft. to The Estrold Resort sign, where you would turn left into the resort . . . OR take Highway 51/39 north to Woodruff and make a right on Highway 70. Go for 12 miles east through the village of St. Germain, then make a left on Halberstadt Road 1/2 mile to Kuehne Road, go right, 1/2 mile to Gessert Road, go right 75 ft. to the resort sign, and go left into the resort.
